After you have installed the Beta Program, turn off the battery optimization and draw the widget ont your home screen, the instructions are below.
Turning off Battery Optimization
After installation, you may need to make sure battery optimization is turned off. Without this, the application will not automatically refresh.
- This is located by selecting the application, and long pressing on the application icon to bring up the menu.
- Then go into the application settings (usually the i), and selecting "Battery"
- Set the battery to be "unrestricted" which tells the phone not to put the application to sleep.
Drag the Widget onto your Home Screen
After you have set the battery optimization you can install the widget into your home screen.
- Long press on your screen, and chooose "Widgets"
- Scroll down to the "Dungess River Flow" widgets and choose the size you want and drag it onto your main screen.
- The widget will refresh on it's own periodically, but if you want to get the latest sample from the server, simply take on the flow rate number.
